Prague's cocktail bars are full of worked-out ideas. The best bars in Prague are concentrated in the New Town and the Old Town, with neighborhood rooms in Vinohrady, Žižkov and Karlín. Alma Prague, the cocktail bar of a restaurant, café and wine bar venue in the New Town, is The Best Bar in Czechia and No. 25 on Europe's 50 Best Bars 2026. Forbína Bar, a theatrical room opposite the National Theatre on Národní, follows at No. 38 and won Best Cocktail Bar for Czechia at the Bartenders' Choice Awards 2026, and Taigen, a two-person bar in Vinohrady with a Japanese-influenced approach, took Best Cocktail Menu. Hemingway Bar Prague keeps a deep absinthe list, including a Hemingway Absinthe distilled for it by Martin Žufánek, and ALCRON Bar draws its signatures from the history of the 1932 Alcron hotel.     Hemingway Bar Prague takes its cue from Ernest Hemingway, a writer whose name became attached to mixed drinks in bars around the world. The bar carries the spirits he favored, with a deep absinthe offering that includes a limited edition Hemingway Absinthe distilled for the bar by Martin Žufánek, plus rare replicas of some of the finest absinthes ever made, served the traditional way. More than two hundred rums sit on the shelves, beside champagnes from large houses and small producers alike. Above all the bar works on mixed drinks built from premium and ultra premium ingredients and fresh fruit juices. Its own suggestion is the Becher Butter Sour.

    Bokovka is a wine bar and shop of the Ambiente restaurant group, set around a weathered 15th-century brewery courtyard, gallery and cellar on Dlouhá in the Old Town.     Parlour is a small basement cocktail bar on Krakovská in New Town, a few minutes from the top of Wenceslas Square, with no sign outside and no printed menu. The bartenders ask which flavors a guest likes and build each drink to order, served in antique glassware. The room holds a handful of tables and a six-seat counter, and it takes both reservations and walk-ins.
