Gorilla opened in 2016 in Ano Ladadika, Thessaloniki, under the line Fine Drinking and Fun. Every cocktail is built with premium spirits, fresh ingredients and house-made syrups and infusions developed in an in-house lab, aiming for balanced, approachable drinks. Curated music and the bar's photobooth are part of the room.
Purovoku is a street cocktail bar spread over a four storey building on pedestrian Karipi street, from the basement up to a terrace. Its name is the Japanese pronunciation of the word provoke, and framed images from the 1968 Japanese photography magazine Provoke hang on the walls. The team builds its drinks around circular economy and zero waste principles, supporting small producers and working with neighbouring businesses to cut waste.
Barnum's & Co. is a circus themed cocktail bar on Miltiadi Kountoura street that describes itself as hidden behind the city lights. Its signature list leans on theatrical names and techniques, such as a milk washed Skull Colada and a sharp Razor Gimlet, and it hosts takeover nights with other bars. Pizza has joined the menu, and tables are not reserved.
The rooftop lounge of the Imperial Plus Urban Smart Hotel on Egnatia street takes its former name, Eleagnos, from the evergreen Elaeagnus shrub used in its planting. The indoor and outdoor spaces follow a minimal urban design and look out across the city's landmarks. The menu runs from coffee and aperitifs to signature cocktails, premium spirits and wines, served with Greek deli platters.
The Blue Cup has occupied a restored listed building on Salaminos street in Ladadika since 2013. It pairs single origin specialty coffee and hand brewing by day with a creative cocktail list built on the idea of fine drinking, including drinks made with house distillates such as a basil pesto distillate. Its coffee comes from Mokka, a Greek roaster founded in 1923.
