Lone Wolf Lounge is a neighborhood watering hole in Savannah's Starland District, cash preferred, with a menu split between classics for a reason, Pegu Club, Periodista, Vieux Carré, Chrysanthemum, and house drinks like a Malört negroni called Rock Over London and a sake-vermouth martini called Blinded by Science, plus boilermakers. The Grey occupies a 1938 Art Deco Greyhound bus terminal in downtown Savannah, restored by managing partner Johno Morisano and chef Mashama Bailey, and its Diner Bar is a named room with its own menu and an oyster happy hour. Alley Cat Lounge calls itself a classy 1870s hidden gem, a basement bar off Broughton Lane that holds what it describes as Savannah's deepest library collection of fine spirits and cocktails. The list is built on fresh ingredients and house-made syrups, sodas, teas and infusions, paying tribute to the classics while, in the bar's words, leading the way forward. It opens at four and runs to one on weeknights and two on Friday and Saturday.
Peregrin is the rooftop bar of the Perry Lane Hotel, which describes it as a botanical escape blending modern sophistication with the charm of Savannah: an all-weather, open-air perch with sweeping views of the historic skyline, handcrafted cocktails, a curated wine list and international street-food bites. It opens at eleven in the morning every day and runs to eleven, or midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Savoy Society is a cocktail bar on East Liberty Street that runs its life through Instagram, where the daily updates and events are posted, and through Resy, where tables can be booked during regular hours. The site is spare by design, drink, food, merch and catering, and the room does the talking. It takes Tuesday off, opens at four most days and at three on the weekend, and keeps the latest nights on Friday and Saturday.
The Peacock Lounge describes itself as an exclusive cocktail lounge on the lower level of 37 Whitaker Street in downtown Savannah, serving delicately curated cocktails, rare spirits and small bites deep into the night. It sits beneath the Flock to the Wok restaurant, is 21 and over with valid ID, and opens at five every evening, running to midnight early in the week and to two on Friday and Saturday.
