Tan Tan began in 2015 as a small Japanese noodle bar conceived by Thiago Banares and grew into a hybrid of restaurant and bar in Pinheiros, fusing Brazilian and Asian flavors. The menu is refreshed annually around an open bar and an open kitchen, with food inspired by Japanese chuka.

Márcio Silva opened Guilhotina in Pinheiros in December 2016 with partners Rafael Berçot and Marcello Nazareth, and within a year it was a Tales of the Cocktail finalist for Best New International Cocktail Bar. A recent refurbishment left exposed brick, cathedral ceilings and a backlit counter among tropical plants. The drinks lean on Brazilian ingredients: Banho de Cheiro mixes gin, tonka bean syrup, rue and native cambuci fruit, and the alcohol-free Café da Tarde pairs cold brew with sweet potato water and spiced pineapple. A short food menu runs from crudos and small burgers to pancetta-charred octopus. It was No. 15 on The World's 50 Best Bars 2019 and on the 51-100 list in 2017 and 2018.

SubAstor is a cocktail bar hidden in the basement of Bar Astor at Rua Delfina 163 in Vila Madalena, São Paulo. Guests reach it by heading down a single flight of stairs from the bar above, a 1950s and 60s styled spot that has anchored the neighborhood's nightlife since 2001. Opened in 2009 and run by the Cia. Tradicional de Comercio group, the downstairs room is darker and moodier than its upstairs sibling. The drinks lean on Brazilian flavors and native ingredients, and the current menu is built around the biomes of Brazil. Tables can be booked online to avoid the queue, and the space also hosts private events. The group later opened Bar do Cofre SubAstor inside a former bank vault. SubAstor placed No. 58 on The World's 50 Best Bars 51-100 list in 2023.

Fifty Fifty
Fifty Fifty is a cocktail bar with a kitchen in Pinheiros, São Paulo, opened in 2025 by bartender Stephanie Marinkovic, who writes the drinks list with her husband and partner Danilo Rodrigues. The house describes itself as signature cocktails and Asian cooking. The drinks explore different ingredients, techniques and combinations: one macerates Irish whiskey with coriander leaves and pairs it with cupuaçu liqueur and a green apple shrub. Chef Key Kurihara runs the kitchen, with dishes such as a toasted cauliflower steak with cashew cream and red pepper. Estadão's Prêmio Paladar 2026 placed it sixth among the ten best bars of São Paulo, and EXAME Casual ranked it No. 62 among the 100 best bars in Brazil in 2025.

Shiro
Shiro is a Japanese cocktail bar on the floor above Kuro, the Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Cerqueira César, São Paulo. At chef Gerard Barberan's invitation, consultant Danilo Nakamura wrote its drinks list with Renan Scussel: four original cocktails, classics prepared in the Japanese style, and mocktails. The most conceptual drink, Mizu, started from the question of what water would taste like if it were delicious, and combines shochu, dry sake, clarified green apple juice and a tincture of nori. The kitchen menu runs to a potato salad with katsuobushi, Cantabrian anchovy and house smoked takuan, and tuna tataki with soy sauce aged three years. EXAME Casual ranked Shiro No. 28 among the 100 best bars in Brazil in 2025.
