Guests look for the lantern by the black gate and press 6 on the intercom to be let in; the space was once a video game shop and keeps its original signboard. The menu keeps drinks simple and balanced, with local ingredients and a range of spirits, and booking ahead is recommended.

Cocktail BarGimlet Nordic Cocktail Bar
Gimlet is a Nordic cocktail bar on Baznīcas iela in central Riga that builds its drinks from ingredients grown around the Baltic Sea, using quince and rhubarb in place of tropical fruit. The team makes its own kombuchas, cordials, syrups and shrubs, ferments some ingredients and uses slow frozen clear block ice. The room is kept ascetic and minimal in a Nordic style, and the menu changes with the seasons.

Bar XIII on Strēlnieku iela in Riga dates itself to 2014 and says it has been raising its quality standards ever since. Everything from the cocktails to the interior design has been thought through, and the bar says every detail has a story and a reason to be there. Mixologist Rolands Burtnieks enjoyed the bar so much that he stayed, and he now aims to craft its most perfect menu. The list follows the seasons and current events: the menu, last updated in May 2025, set Yellow Blood, a Bloody Mary twist on Belvedere vodka and yellow tomato juice, beside the Sanskrit, with Tanqueray gin, blueberry jam, elderflower, apple and pineapple. The bar also hosts private events.

Distillers Republic
Distillers Republic is a cozy cocktail and craft beer bar in the basement of a historic building in Riga's Old Town, used as a warehouse in the 17th century, with arched brick ceilings, brick walls and oak paneling. It opened as a bar on April 5, 2019, and its distillery started work at the beginning of 2020. The team made its own chairs, stools and tables. The cocktails draw on the gins and rums of its DR Family range: Sweet Contraband mixes Contraband rum with cocoa liqueur, milk and nutmeg, and Holy Sheets pairs Dry as a Nun gin with DR rhubarb liqueur, grapefruit, pineapple and cream. Draft and craft beers round out the list, and dogs are welcome.
