  3. The Sackville Lounge
    Cocktail Bar

    The Sackville Lounge

The Sackville Lounge is an intimate city-center bar from the team behind BAR 1661, one of Dublin's best known cocktail rooms. It sets out to evoke an older kind of Dublin pub, one that stayed busy late and took its drinks seriously, without leaning on nostalgia alone. The room is low-lit and deliberately glamorous, and the list is cocktail-led rather than pub-standard. DJs play into the early hours on Friday and Saturday nights. No reservation is required, which makes it a walk-in room rather than a booking one, and a useful late option in the city center.

  4. The Collins Club
    Hotel Bar

    The Collins Club

The Collins Club is the cocktail bar by the lobby of The Leinster hotel on Mount Street Lower, in the heart of Georgian Dublin. It is named as a tribute to David Collins, the architect and interior designer born in Dublin in 1955 who trained at the Bolton School of Architecture and founded David Collins Studio in 1985. The hotel promises immersive cocktails amid Georgian glamour, built on a menu of reinvented classics from a team it calls bold creators, working both behind the bar and in its lab. The bar serves martinis alongside laid-back bites, and DJs play on Friday and Saturday nights.

    Hotel Bar

    The Sidecar at The Westbury

The Sidecar is the cocktail bar of The Westbury hotel on Balfe Street in Dublin 2. The hotel pitches it as a modern, elegant reworking of a 1930s cocktail bar, and the room has Art Deco interiors. Martinis are made by hand at the table from a bespoke Martini Trolley. The current cocktail menu, Dublin Unfiltered, is the bar's newest cocktail concept and runs to eighteen individually crafted drinks, each one conceived and created by bar manager Oisin Kelly to celebrate what being a Dubliner means. Food is served daily alongside the cocktails.
