Seed Library New York, the first permanent Manhattan bar from the world’s most awarded bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana (Mr Lyan), is set to open in Fall 2025. Located on the lower ground floor of Hotel Park Ave in Nomad, with its own dedicated entrance, the new venue will offer an intimate escape inspired by the timeless “Manhattan Bar.”
A collaboration between Mr Lyan, Lore Group, and Renwick Hospitality, Seed Library New York will reimagine the stripped-back warmth of the original East London Seed Library while celebrating New York’s cocktail heritage and innovation.
Known globally for sustainability and creative cocktail programs, the Lyan team brings its signature blend of curiosity, inclusivity, and hospitality to Manhattan. Guests can expect reimagined classics, original creations, and a thoughtful selection of low-intervention wines, craft beers, artisanal spirits, and saké.
The food program, designed with Renwick Hospitality, will mirror the bar’s ethos of thoughtful simplicity, offering bar snacks that complement the drinks. Service will be led by seasoned New York professionals alongside familiar faces from other award-winning Lyan bars.
The design, by Lore Group Creative Director Jacu Strauss in collaboration with RD Studio, blends organic textures, natural materials, and understated elegance, echoing the philosophy of embracing nature’s variance.
With locations already in London, Washington DC, and Amsterdam, the Lyan portfolio continues its global expansion. Seed Library New York aims to be a neighborhood classic — elegant yet approachable, experimental yet grounded.
Seed Library New York will officially open in Fall 2025.
