UFO occupies the flying saucer on the pylon of Most SNP, 95 meters above the Danube, and the venue calls its room the highest bar in Bratislava. The 360 degree outlook takes in the castle, the historic center and the river, and on a clear day the view carries about 100 kilometers. The bar opens at ten every morning, pouring specialty coffee through the day and cocktails as the sun goes down, while the restaurant starts at midday. The drinks list mixes classics with house builds, among them a Pear Fashioned made with Glenfiddich 15, pear, Cocchi Storico and walnut.

The Half Blind Pig
The Half Blind Pig sits on Baštová, a short walk from Michael's Gate in Bratislava's old town, and calls itself a speakeasy. The room is built around the American Prohibition years, and the bar's own telling reaches back to 1930s Boston and the vote that pushed drinking underground. Inside, the lighting stays low, the interior is vintage, rock and roll plays, and the team builds tailor made cocktails to a guest's taste alongside a printed list. Doors open in the evening from Tuesday through Saturday, later on Friday and Saturday, and the bar asks guests to book ahead by phone.
