One of Madrid's most historic taverns, trading since 1856 beneath hand-crafted ceiling harpies and 1920 Mensaque ceramic tiles, Viva Madrid was reborn in September 2018 under Diego Cabrera of Salmon Guru. Downstairs is 'taberna inusual', aperitivo culture meets modern cocktail craft with chef Víctor Camargo's nueva cocina madrileña; upstairs hides the Dark Side, styled on 1920s Madrid. The gin-based Media Combinación was reportedly poured for Dalí and Ava Gardner.
