Nouvelle Bar & Bottle is a neighborhood wine bar and bottle shop on South Clay Street that sets out to cultivate taste and foster conversation. The team leans toward wine that is grown rather than manufactured, delicious without being stuffy or too serious, and made by producers they have met in person. A particular obsession is Champagne, gathered into a grower producer focused selection the bar calls its Completely Irresponsible Champagne List. Properly made craft cocktails and small plates round out the offering, delivered in a vibrant room with good music. Owner John Grisanti is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and a certified sommelier. Seating is walk in, with no reservations taken.
