Mister Paradise opened on First Avenue in the East Village in early 2019, with Will Wyatt as owner. The drinks carry witty names and lean on techniques such as clarification and sous vide: the Party Lobster mixes tequila, mezcal, Campari, watermelon, lime, fermented habanero and garlic. Large plush booths fill the room, including big round ones that suit groups, and the private Red Room takes up to 15 guests in three-hour blocks. The kitchen is known for its french fries and burger as much as the bar is for its cocktails. Happy hour runs until 7pm on weekdays and until 5pm at weekends. Tables are bookable on Resy.
