Long Bar (Raffles)

Home of the Singapore Sling, created here in 1915 by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. The two-storey room channels 1920s Malayan plantation life, and the tradition stands: brush your peanut shells straight onto the floor, as the rubber planters did. Today's Sling is built on locally distilled Brass Lion Singapura gin, with a zero-proof version alongside. Walk-ins welcomed.
