Dutch Kills opened on 1 May 2009 on Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, and takes its name from the historic neighborhood around it. Sasha Petraske, of Milk & Honey, Little Branch and The Varnish, created it, and it keeps his style: classic and signature cocktails, careful service and a focus on superior ice. House classics sit beside a seasonal list that has included the Baltimore Sour, with local beers, fine wines and cordials too. Upstairs, Debbie's hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Happy hour runs until 7pm, and the bar stays open until 2am on weeknights and 3am at weekends. There are no reservations.
