Ophelia is a cocktail lounge on the 26th floor of 3 Mitchell Place, at 49th Street and First Avenue, styled with Art Deco glamour and looking out over the New York skyline. The cocktails are by Amir Babayoff, and the signature list includes Killing Me Softly, a lychee martini homage with genever, armagnac and rose gin, the smoky Ophelia's Ascension with mezcal and bourbon, and the El Paso Old Fashioned built on rum and tequila. A reserve list of luxe cocktails uses rare spirits. The Omacocktail Experience is a 90-minute guided tasting of seven small cocktails with four single-bite pairings at the bar, and it is booked in advance.
