Dallas splits its drinking between grand hotel rooms and independent bars out in the neighborhoods. Midnight Rambler, the subterranean lounge beneath The Joule on Main Street, was a Top 10 Nominee for Best U.S. Hotel Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards in 2026, and Catbird, the rooftop above the Thompson downtown, was a Regional Honoree in the same category that year.
