Cara Cara is the rooftop restaurant and bar on the 15th floor of the Downtown L.A. Proper Hotel at 1100 S. Broadway, with indoor and outdoor seating and 360-degree views over downtown. The open-air terrace is planted with lush greenery and set with fire pits and lounge areas. The seasonal California menu runs from ceviche and tacos to grilled seafood and burgers. The bar pours a seasonal cocktail list alongside wine and local beer, including The Beet Mescalist with beet shrub and mezcal, the Summer Solstice with cilantro-infused tequila and watermelon, and the Proper Martini, plus spirit-free drinks. DJs play at sunset, and reservations go through OpenTable.
