Broken Shaker New York is a rooftop cocktail bar on the 18th floor of the Freehand Hotel on Lexington Avenue, run with Authentic Hospitality and looking out across Manhattan. It has four bars, two indoors and two outdoors, and the outdoor bars sit under a retractable roof. The mixologists work with house syrups, infusions, fresh-pressed juices and herbs, and the house list includes the Flatiron Negroni, Up on the Roof with mezcal, raspberry and watermelon, and Breakfast in the Moonlight with two rums and passion fruit, plus a daily punch and a daily frozen drink. In colder months the entrance is through the hotel lobby, and in warmer months it moves to 24th Street.
