Barcelona Hotel Bar Week returned for its second edition from September 21 to 27, 2026, and once again the whole program ran through the city’s hotel bars. The organizers call it the world’s first hotel bar week, and the format is simple: 30 hotel bars, each pouring at least two exclusive signature cocktails for the week at a fixed price of 12 euros.

The lineup mixed the city’s established hotel rooms with ten newcomers. Returning bars included El Bar del Majestic at the Majestic Hotel & Spa, GEBRE at the InterContinental, Kyara at SLS Barcelona, Punch Room at The Barcelona EDITION, Azimuth Rooftop Bar at the Almanac and Nobu Bar at Nobu Hotel Barcelona. New for 2026 were, among others, La Pajarera on the roof of BLESS Barcelona, Entre Cielos by Borja Insa at Gran Meliá Torre Melina, Rooftop Ohla, Furtivo Rooftop at ME Barcelona, Dorita Club at Hotel España Ocean Drive and the Verbena terrace at the Monument Hotel.

Guests followed the week with a BHBW Passport and a BHBW Pass, which gave access to the fixed cocktail price, the program’s events and the closing party. Around the drinks, the week ran five strands of events: Culture & Cocktails, with art exhibitions, book presentations and panels; Masterclasses & Talks; Guest Shifts, with bar takeovers and themed nights; Mix & Eat pairings, from brunches to tapas dinners; and a Wellness & Movement strand with yoga, Pilates and a run club.

By the organizers’ count, the week ran 70 events with 35 guest bartenders from Spain and abroad, and the participating bars served more than 2,700 BHBW cocktails. Every bar poured a dedicated BHBW list of signature, low-ABV and non-alcoholic drinks. It opened on September 21 with a press conference at Cotton House Hotel and a party on the Batuar terrace.

Two New York bartenders took over hotel bars for a night, Andrea Grujic at Kyara and Matt Meretz of Employees Only at Noxe in W Barcelona, while Anna Sebastian, Leon Gasco of the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane and Markus Basset of The Savoy shared a London night at Cotton House. At the InterContinental, eight bartenders competed in the second Gin Master Challenge, won by Nick Braun and chef Albert Bernabue of the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona. Matteo Ciarpaglini and Gianluca Basso of the Paradiso team led a masterclass on non-alcoholic drinks made with local and wild ingredients, and the week closed on September 27 with a party at SLS Barcelona, where participating bars took turns behind the bar. A third edition is planned for 2027.
