Monica Berg and Alex Kratena—the duo behind London's No. 5 ranked Tayēr + Elementary—opened their first Mediterranean venture at SLS Barcelona in June 2025. Named for the highest grade of Japanese aloeswood, Kyara translates fragrance into liquid form through an open-plan Compounding Room filled with ultra-concentrated distillates and aromatic accords. The bespoke Martini diagnosis—a chemistry-based aromatic profile assessment—pushes the cocktail consultation into genuinely new territory. Barcelona gained a villain's lair with some of the best drinks in Europe.
