Monica Berg and Alex Kratena, the duo behind London's Tayēr + Elementary, No. 5 on the World's 50 Best Bars, opened their first Mediterranean venture at SLS Barcelona in June 2025. Named for the highest grade of Japanese aloeswood, Kyara translates fragrance into liquid form through an open-plan Compounding Room filled with ultra-concentrated distillates and aromatic accords. The bespoke Martini diagnosis, a chemistry-based aromatic profile assessment, pushes the cocktail consultation into genuinely new territory. Barcelona gained a villain's lair with some of the best drinks in Europe.
