The extended list for North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026, sponsored by Perrier, has been revealed — covering bars ranked 51st to 100th ahead of the full top 50 announcement in Vancouver on April 22.
While the industry waits for the top 50 to drop at the live ceremony in Vancouver, the 51–100 list is now out — and it’s a strong preview of where North American bar culture stands heading into 2026. The list spans 28 destinations across the region, with 14 new entries making their debut on the extended ranking.
The Numbers
The United States leads the extended list with 25 bars, representing cities as diverse as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, and Honolulu. Canada claims 19 entries, with representation from Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Victoria. Mexico accounts for four spots, spanning Mexico City, Tulum and Playa del Carmen, while bars in Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman also earn places.
Highlights from the 51–100 List
Leading the extended list at No.51 is Aruba Day Drink from Tijuana — a bar known for its tropical-leaning cocktails and its position well away from the tourist strip. Hot on its heels at No.52 is Katana Kitten in New York, the Japanese-American bar from Masahiro Urushido that has become a fixture on best bar lists since opening.
Other notable entries include Montreal’s Cloakroom at No.56, Vancouver’s Bagheera at No.59, and a pair of Mexican standouts in Café de Nadie (No.60) and Arca (No.61). Toronto’s Cry Baby Gallery lands at No.69, Calgary’s Proof at No.78, and the US is further represented by Houston’s Julep (No.84), Atlanta’s Ticonderoga Club (No.85), Boston’s Hecate Bar (No.88), and Detroit’s Father Forgive Me (No.83). San Francisco’s Trick Dog rounds out the list at No.100, while Mexico’s Zapote Bar claims No.95.
What’s Next
The full ranking of North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026 will be revealed at a live awards ceremony in Vancouver on April 22, 2026. It’s the first time the event has been held in Vancouver, and the ceremony will determine which bars claim the top spots — and which takes home the title of Best Bar in North America.
