In a traditional hanok in one of Seoul's oldest quarters, Byung-Jin 'BJ' Lim's Bar Cham pioneered the Korean-culture-first cocktail: indigenous spirits and ingredients sourced province by province, soju served in clay cups, drinks like the Deodeok Negroni paying tribute to the regions. The bar holds No. 42 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026.

Gong Gan

A minimalist, art-forward lounge inside a traditional hanok, clean lines and milk-white hues around a leafy courtyard, Gong Gan runs on 'upcycling cocktails' that reuse leftover ingredients, community donations and a pet-friendly door policy. No.63 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025, No.74 in 2026.

Charles H

Hidden on the lower level of the Four Seasons Seoul, Charles H. toasts Charles H. Baker, the great cocktail-chronicling travel writer, a glamorous drinking den of globe-trotting serves that pairs speakeasy exclusivity with hotel-bar polish. Twice named Best Bar in Korea by Asia's 50 Best (2019, 2021), peaking at No.7 in Asia in 2022. It was a Top 4 finalist for Best International Hotel Bar at the 2025 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. The latest lists place it at No. 87 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026.
