The Roost Bar is the bar room of Brennan's on Royal Street, an airy space overlooking the restaurant's courtyard, serving traditional New Orleans cocktails modernized. Brennan's opened in 1946 and occupies a building raised in 1795 that later housed the Louisiana State Bank, and the bar room is finished with a gilded-glass mural of exotic birds, bird cages hung above the bar and tables of crushed eggshell set in resin.
