Mezcalita

Mezcalita is a cantina and tequila bar in Bandra West, a sibling of the Churchgate original that Rizwan Amlani launched with Vicky Singh in 2023 to bring Mexican flavors to Mumbai. The cocktail list traces tequila from the agave plant to the bottle and takes side trips into a horchata made with black rice, charred bell peppers and a mezcal washed with peanut butter, next to margarita towers, spicy coolers, sake spritzes and agua frescas. The kitchen sends out tacos on masa, flour or crisp shells, burritos, flautas, chilaquiles nachos and fideo seco. Hummingbird murals and trajinera archways set a maximalist mood, and the room is run by the Impresario group behind the Churchgate, Indiranagar and Borivali cantinas.
