Mesa Bar is the bar of Mesa by José Avillez, the contemporary Portuguese restaurant on Level 3 of The Karl Lagerfeld at Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai. The room weaves Chinese iconography into Karl Lagerfeld's black, white and gold style, and the bar itself is a central island modeled on a birdcage. Resort Master Mixologist Frederick Ma builds drinks that tell stories of Portuguese and Chinese heritage and trace the old sea routes between Lisbon and Macau, among them the Casa de Abelha and Holy Wood. Herbs are grown in house, fruit remnants from the kitchen become kombucha and mead, and the spirits come from ecoSPIRITS.
