JIMMY is a year-round rooftop bar 18 stories up in SoHo, on top of ModernHaus on Thompson Street. Inside, 14-foot windows surround a room of vintage and contemporary furniture, a working fireplace and a conversation pit with blue velvet and leather modular seating, with views of Midtown, Wall Street, the Hudson River and the East River bridges. In warm weather the action moves onto the roof deck, which has one of the few outdoor pools in town. The specialty cocktails carry playful names such as JIMMY is a Woman with tequila, habanero and watermelon, Text Your Ex and Silk & Sin. Stylish attire is expected, and the door team decides admission.
