From its modest start in 1947, The Bamboo Bar has grown into a Bangkok institution, the city's first jazz venue, still wrapped in its sensual 1950s ambience at the Mandarin Oriental. Live jazz plays nightly with band and vocalist, and the current 'Evolution' menu draws on the natural progression of bamboo and local Thai ingredients. Elegant attire after 6:30pm; no reservations, a sought-after walk-in. It received the Timeless International Award at the 2026 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
