The Pinnacle Guide has officially launched as a global benchmark for excellence in the cocktail bar industry. Often described as the “Michelin Guide for bars,” it celebrates venues that demonstrate outstanding hospitality, creativity, sustainability, and community impact.
Founded by Hannah Sharman-Cox, Siobhan Payne, and Dan Dove, the guide awards cocktail bars with one, two, or three “PINs” based on a detailed and transparent assessment process. The first wave of recognized bars includes venues from 12 countries, with 85 establishments now holding a PIN status. While several received one or two PINs, the highly coveted three-PIN distinction has yet to be awarded.

Each selected bar earns its status through a process that begins with self-nomination, followed by anonymous visits by hospitality experts. The recognition lasts for two years, with the opportunity to reapply or earn a higher rating in future rounds.
The next submission deadline for bar applications is June 3, 2025. Bars interested in being considered can find full details and criteria at thepinnacleguide.com.
