Mexico City sets the pace for the best speakeasies in Mexico, with Guadalajara close behind. Handshake Speakeasy, No. 1 on The World's 50 Best Bars 2024, is No. 6 on The 50 Best Bars 2026 and books on OpenTable. Hanky Panky opened in 2016 as one of the capital's first speakeasies and reached No. 12 on The World's 50 Best Bars 2021. Bijou Drinkery Room, No. 34 on North America's 50 Best Bars 2025, has you reserve first, then find its secret location by following the jewels.
