The Tatarian

The Tatarian is a neighbourhood cocktail bar on Tennyson Street in Berkeley, named after a species of maple and opened in 2018 by Lenka Juchelkova and Mike Huggins, who also run Union Lodge No. 1 and Arvada Tavern. The room is styled after a woodland retreat, and the seasonal list leans on unusual pairings such as Scotch with shochu and miso or aquavit with fennel liqueur. It opens from the afternoon at weekends.
