Opened in May 2025 by Mike Capoferri of Thunderbolt LA fame, Semiprecious at 2839 W. 44th Avenue brings international bar pedigree to Denver's Sunnyside neighbourhood in a space that splits the difference between dive bar relaxation and cocktail bar ambition. The programme applies the same flavour-science approach that earned Thunderbolt its reputation — clarified cocktails, house ferments, and a technical precision that hides behind a deliberately casual presentation. The room is neighbourhood-friendly, the prices are reasonable by Denver standards, and the cocktail list goes well beyond the basics without alienating the after-work crowd. A bar that proves destination-quality drinks can live in a neighbourhood-bar format.
