Red Rabbit is the third bar to occupy its room on Stortingsgata, between Nationaltheatret and the Storting. First came Barfly, a brown pub where anyone who walked in became a regular, then ISM, a polished cocktail bar with a speakeasy in the basement. The three Swedes behind Red Rabbit, all long-time hands in Oslo nightlife, opened in April 2026 to take something from both: they kept details of the ISM interior, brought back the ease of Barfly and call the result a public house. The cocktail list is short and playful on purpose, built from an old Scandinavian favourite, a few classics and easy twists on them, so that almost anyone finds something on it. General manager and co-owner Fredrik Holmberg, a METAXA global finalist in 2025, set the bar up so the team spends its time with guests rather than in the back room. Downstairs, Dartsee smart dart boards give groups a change of scene, and the basement can be booked for private parties of up to 40.
