Parla is a narrow, speakeasy-styled bar and restaurant on Hanover Street in the North End, its walls lined with reclaimed Kentucky barn wood. The bar keeps more than 25 bitters and 50 house shrubs, infusions and tinctures for riffs on classics, and its Dungeon Master list lets guests roll a 20-sided die to choose a drink. The kitchen serves modern takes on Italian-American dishes, with brunch at weekends and a sister bar, Parla XXI, at Assembly Row.
