A 20-seat ticketed cocktail tasting hidden behind a velvet curtain at the back of The Red Fox on Commercial Street, Extra Dirty has stacked up more new-bar accolades in twelve months than most rooms collect in a decade. Owner Phillip Rolfe — also behind the nine-seat Farmacia — runs the format on a $90 prepaid ticket, with multi-course progressive cocktails, themed menus that rotate several times a year, and food courses pacing guests through a 110-minute seating. Boston Magazine named it Best New Bar 2025, and Beli users voted it the best new bar in the world the same year, beating contenders in London, Chicago, Detroit, and Mexico City. The most credentialled new bar Boston has produced in years, and the reservations system reflects it.
