Matrëshka is a Slavic cocktail bar on Reichenberger Straße in Kreuzberg, run by sisters Victoria May and Aleksandra Golubkova from St Petersburg. Drinks use buckwheat, raspberry and kvass, house nastoiki infused from family recipes are poured as shots, and the Borscht shot comes with a glass of pickle brine. Designer furniture and graffiti fill the room around a large concrete counter, and the sisters run a studio next door for exhibitions and pop-ups.
