A monster and Asian cinema-themed cocktail bar on the second floor of The Citadel food hall, Bar Kaiju earned Bon Appétit's Best New Bars in the U.S. recognition alongside Miami New Times' Best Cocktails award in 2024. The graphic novel-style menu moves from light and refreshing to dark and spirit-forward, with the Groot, cask-aged roasted hazelnut bourbon, peach, Palo Cortado, dry vermouth, anchoring the heavier end. Industrial loft design and electric red lighting give the room a visual identity as distinctive as the drinks. Bar Kaiju surprises seasoned travelers because it should.
