Bar Abaco opened on 22 December 1981 inside C'an Marcel, a Mallorcan mansion on Carrer de Sant Joan in La Llotja whose rooms were restored to recall the baroque splendour of the age the house was built in, as if every night were a feast day. The name comes from the enormous abaci on the columns of the entrance hall, where carriages and horses once came in. It serves cocktails, champagne and cava, wine, beer, fresh juices and desserts, and does not take table reservations.
