Anam Cara

Anam Cara is a cocktail and wine bar on Rostockgata in Oslo's Bjørvika, named for the Celtic idea of the soul friend and opened on 30 April 2025 by Thomas and Xuseen Ramse-Miskell. Xuseen worked in San Francisco's bar scene before moving to Oslo in 2016, and Thomas came to bartending from the medical field. The house signatures include the Soul Friend Martini, with Nuet aquavit, peach, yellow Chartreuse and rose, and the Don Johnson, which mixes rum with pandan, pistachio, pineapple and coconut. A seasonal list changes through the year, classics such as the Negroni and the Daiquiri stay on, and separate menus cover non-alcoholic cocktails and wine.
