8 at The Londoner is the rooftop bar on the eighth floor of The Londoner hotel on Leicester Square, a dark, discreetly tucked-away space with a Japanese garden, a bar and a terrace with skyline views. The bar itself is designed in chiaroscuro accents and works in the izakaya style, while the Shima Garden has a retractable roof that opens to the sky in summer, and the lounge leads onto a minimalist Japanese-inspired terrace. The cocktail menu, 8 Tastes of Japan, builds eight drinks around flavors of Japanese cuisine, such as the Keen Bean with Hendrick's gin, edamame and yuzu, each matched to a dish on the bar menu. The dress code is fashionably elegant.
