This year’s event in Madrid will feature pioneering bartenders, bar owners, and brands that have shaped cocktail culture in 2024. The Spanish capital, known for its outstanding hospitality, will host these industry leaders as they gather to honor innovation, creativity, and exceptional mixology.

Voting and Awards
The list is voted on by a gender-balanced Academy of over 700 bartenders, consultants, writers, and cocktail specialists from around the world, with the results independently adjudicated by Deloitte.
Key highlights of the event program include the Bartenders’ Feast, hosted the evening before the ceremony for those whose bars are featured in this year’s ranking. The grand ceremony on October 22 will include red-carpet arrivals, a drinks reception, and the live countdown and reveal of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024, culminating in the announcement of The World’s Best Bar, sponsored by Perrier.
Ahead of the ceremony, two special awards will be announced:
- Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award: Voted for by the Academy members, recognizing the bar with the best hospitality experience.
- Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award: Voted for by the bartenders on this year’s list, honoring a peer who has significantly advanced the craft of bartending.
The 51-100 list will be revealed on the 50 Best website and social media channels.
Special Awards and Opportunities
In addition to the main event, three special awards will be announced in Madrid:
- 50 Best Bars Roku Scholarship 2024: Awarding a young bartender with internships at two bars on the list.
