Hong Kong’s The Pontiac will host a special collaboration with Manila’s Bar Flora on March 12, 2026, bringing together two of Asia’s few female-led cocktail bars for a one-night takeover celebrating International Women’s Month. The event will see the Manila team take over the bar from 8 p.m., creating an evening dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and women in hospitality.
Known for its rebellious spirit and strong identity within Hong Kong’s nightlife scene, The Pontiac will welcome a visiting team from Bar Flora, a Manila concept that recently refreshed its drinks program to emphasize its position as both a tea house and gin-focused cocktail bar. By day, the venue operates as a global tea destination, while by night it transforms into a gin bar featuring more than 330 varieties of gin.
Leading the takeover will be three bartenders from Manila’s Bar Flora team, Iza Juano, Sam Belmonte, and Abbie Romero. Throughout the evening they will showcase cocktails built around the bar’s distinctive philosophy of combining tea and gin craftsmanship, bringing a unique flavor perspective to Hong Kong’s cocktail community.
A key element of the program is Bar Flora’s approach to inclusive drinking. Alongside spirit-forward cocktails, the menu will feature sophisticated no- and low-alcohol options, including the bar’s signature “tea-tails.” Guests will also be able to explore zero-proof cocktails built with CROSSIP, a premium 0% ABV spirit designed to deliver the texture and complexity expected in modern cocktails.
The visiting team’s menu draws inspiration from four seasonal tea profiles, translating tea traditions into cocktail form. Floral and fresh expressions evoke spring, bright and refreshing serves reflect summer, spice-driven drinks represent autumn, and richer, warming profiles capture the mood of winter.
By bringing together two bars driven by female leadership, bold flavors, and strong creative identities, the collaboration highlights the growing influence of women shaping the cocktail scene across Asia.
