The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation and Diageo have officially joined forces to launch Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Presents World Class Sponsored by Diageo, marking a new chapter in American bartending. The partnership expands World Class U.S. beyond its reputation as the world’s leading cocktail competition into a broader, community-focused initiative that supports bartender education, mentorship, and professional development nationwide.

With a shared mission to uplift the hospitality industry through learning, collaboration, and mentorship, the new program will introduce local workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and multiple paths to participate — from judges and coaches to trainees. The goal is to help bartenders grow their skills, connect with peers, and strengthen the national hospitality community.

“World Class has always been about more than competition — it’s about community and craftsmanship,” said a Diageo spokesperson. “This partnership with Tales of the Cocktail Foundation ensures that education and mentorship remain at the heart of that mission.”
