The Old House is a contemporary cocktail destination rooted in the character and energy of Kathmandu. Set beneath a century-old banyan tree at Durbar Marg, the venue pairs old-world Newari architecture with modern hospitality. Its bar leads the experience: classic technique applied to Nepalese ingredients such as timbur, jimbu, Himalayan juniper, sea buckthorn, black cardamom, and seasonal fruit, with a strong focus on house-made preparations. Each drink is built around a story drawn from Nepal's landscapes, traditions, and people. The kitchen follows the same idea, giving Newari flavors such as sekuwa and momo a contemporary reading alongside dishes designed to pair with the menu. The Old House is where Kathmandu's heritage meets its evolving cocktail culture, preserving the character of the old while creating something new behind the bar.
