Ranger Station is an attic-level cocktail bar above Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue, and it bills itself as a hideaway, a space where park rangers come after a long day to kick back and have a good time. The fit-out plays to that idea with vintage furnishings and low light. Drinks carry names like Sun Dog, Ron Swanson, Golden Bullet and Blood Moon, alongside an espressotini and a house digestif. Every Thursday at 7:30pm the bar runs an all-vinyl needle drop session. Doors open at 5pm daily, closing at midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are encouraged and walk-ins welcome.
