Raa opened in August 2024 at the water's edge of Hiriketiya bay, billed as the first bar devoted to Sri Lankan arrack and toddy. Fresh toddy is tapped on site twice daily by a resident tapper, and the sap also feeds the vinegars, syrups and infusions behind the list. The kitchen cooks coastal food over wood fire.
