Liberty or Death

Liberty or Death was the first bar from the Son of a Punch team, opened in March 2012 in Helsinki's Design District; the same group runs Trillby & Chadwick and Bob's Laundry. The name borrows Patrick Henry's line "Give me liberty, or give me death," which inspired the team in 2011, when it set out to start a cocktail revolution. The room takes its cue from Brooklyn, and the bar describes itself as a piece of New York in Erottaja. Its menu keeps changing, mixing twisted classics with new creations, and it leans on seasonal ingredients, many of them prepared in house to cut down on waste. The team also hosts private workshops on the classic cocktails.
