Goldfish sits at basement level in the Kultakala block on Korkeavuorenkatu, in a historic building where Marshal Mannerheim, a famous bon vivant with a taste for cocktails, once kept his study. The basement windows look out, but inside it stays dim and discreet, with 45 seats across three rooms and soft sofas made for long conversations. It is the back pocket of The Grand Bar & Grill, owned by Sylvester Soisalo and Matti Wikberg, and head bartender Liam Wihuri-Redmond leads the bar team. The list runs from classics to new flavor pairings, and the current menu includes a bone-marrow-washed rye Old Fashioned. Guinness is on tap, and any wine Goldfish does not stock is fetched from The Grand's cellar.
