Regional honoree for Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar at the 2026 Spirited Awards.
Donna's opened over Thanksgiving weekend 2025 on White Oak Drive in the Houston Heights, in the former Ready Room space. It comes from Bobby Heugel of Anvil and bartender Jacki Schromm, and it is named for Schromm's grandmother. Brittany Vaughn of Garnish Design split the retro-styled room into two distinct spaces, and a vintage stereo, reel-to-reel deck and turntable keep the sound clear without drowning out conversation. The menu runs on creative riffs on classics: Jacki's Martini is a 50-50 mix of gin with Cocchi Americano and Dolin Blanc. It is open daily from 2pm to 2am and takes no reservations. Cocktail Bar.
