Up the stairs of a corner house at La Niña and Yánez Pinzón, Código 86 is Quito's clandestine-style speakeasy, created by Edwin Lobo, the bartender and entrepreneur behind Andes Bar Academy and founder of Quito Cocktail Week, whose first edition ran in 2026. The bar pairs an evolving list of refined cocktails with interpretive author cuisine, including an 86 tasting menu that walks guests through the house style. It is the flagship of Lobo's Boozy Hub group of Quito drinking dens and a marker of how quickly Ecuador's capital is finding its place on the continent's cocktail map.
