Barcelona will host the world’s first cocktail week dedicated entirely to hotel bars, bringing seven days of mixology, culture, and hospitality.
From 22 to 28 September, Barcelona Hotel Bar Week (BHBW) will debut as the first international cocktail week focused exclusively on hotel bars. For one week, 25 of the city’s top hotels will present signature cocktails, low-ABV or non-alcoholic serves, gastronomic pairings, cultural activities, and masterclasses led by leading national and international bartenders.
Each participating hotel will offer two specially created cocktails — a signature serve and a low-ABV or alcohol-free option — available all week at the fixed price of €12. Beyond the drinks, BHBW includes yoga and meditation classes with aperitifs, culinary collaborations, rooftop parties, and guest shifts from acclaimed bartenders including Salvatore Calabrese, Federico Pavan, Emanuele Balestra, and Brent Perremore.
Founder Bianca Grisolia explains: “Barcelona has incredible hotel bars: unique spaces, talented bartenders and creative potential yet to be discovered. With BHBW we want to enhance this side of the city’s identity, bring people together and celebrate the growing link between mixology, culture and hospitality.”
Highlights include the Mix & Eat program, blending gastronomy with cocktails, and international exchanges with Cape Town Cocktail Week and Kenya Bartender Week, bringing global guest shifts and cross-cultural collaborations.
The week will open on 22 September with an exclusive event at Cotton House Hotel’s Batuar Bar and close on 28 September with a public celebration at a soon-to-be-revealed “secret” location.
