Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London—currently ranked No. 37 in the world—has unveiled its newest cocktail menu, Long Drawn Out Sip, a vivid tribute to British caricaturist Gerald Scarfe and his memoir Long Drawn Out Trip. Launching April 2, the menu invites guests to journey through the surreal worlds of Scarfe’s imagination, transformed into 24 inventive cocktails.
The menu is the first under Andy Loudon, newly appointed Director of Bars at Rosewood London, and is divided into four dream-inspired chapters: Fears, Desires, Revelations, and Transformations. Each chapter offers six original cocktails, including non-alcoholic alternatives, all crafted to reflect Scarfe’s iconic blend of satire, fantasy, and visual storytelling.

Highlights from the Fears section include Toothless Grin, a Sazerac twist with Rémy Martin 1738 and beetroot, served on a repurposed charcuterie board with goat cheese and lemon curd. Naked Italian, nodding to the anxiety of public exposure, reimagines the whisky sour with cantaloupe and Macallan 12.

Under Desires, cocktails like The Court Jester playfully reinterpret the Paloma with sparkling sake and coconut, while Rockstar delivers a spicy watermelon Margarita tribute to Scarfe’s portraits of music legends like Elton John and Keith Richards.
The Revelations chapter offers more introspective serves, like Portrait of Fame, built around Buddha’s hand and Aperol, and Moment of Clarity, a light blend of Diplomático Planas, Granny Smith apple, and fig leaf soda. In Transformations, guests will find the savory Truth at Last, a gin and tonic served with toasted sesame and a fortune cookie, and Heroes & Villains, a dual Martini that explores innocence versus guilt through its choice of garnish.
The menu reflects Scarfes Bar’s signature style—blending theatricality with fine craftsmanship. Every detail, from custom serviceware to house-made ingredients, contributes to the bar’s immersive, art-driven experience. Live jazz and the drawing-room charm of Rosewood London complete the atmosphere, making Scarfes Bar one of the capital’s most unique cocktail destinations.
Scarfes Bar continues to build on its legacy of storytelling through drinks, drawing from Scarfe’s visual worlds and infusing them with flavor, texture, and imagination. Whether you’re a lover of art, mixology, or both, Long Drawn Out Sip promises an experience worth savoring—one surreal sip at a time.
